Default moving chests...

ok i was in this one area today trying to get one more margoil skull (sp?) anyway I just needed one so I was killing all I could find. I saw a chest so opened. well I went back to town once I killed all the margoils and then returned to kill more (still in need of one for skull). i noticed the chest was gone. then a bit later saw it moved to a different spot. (same area different spot). at first I thought i was seeing things, so i went back to town and returned once more. yep its in yet another spot. this chest moved 4 times. the only thing I can think of is this is Anets solution to bots. I think its a fantastic idea too!

I see this alot. Even through pre-searing. Non quest-related chests seems to always show up in different places. Same area, different spot. I've always thought they all do that, no?

mergoyles. ty. well i have been playing this game a lot, and haven't seen this untill now. Not all chests do that. A good example would be the Mission @ Kryta.

Maybe the moving chests is to help to stop bots from chest farming?

Yeah, sounds like a "bot fix" to me. Moving them even a little bit would really throw a bot's macros off.

bots have no BIG problem with moving chests, but if you multiply the extra time a bot needs to klick all possible chest locations its worth it.

It would be nice if they could code it so that the chests appears at any spot within a certain distance of point X, so that the bots would have to click every single point to be sure they found it.

All those billions and billions of points...
